Kitchen Organization

“First I drink coffee, then I do the things”

-Every person ever before organizing their kitchen

Quick tips that make a big impact!

  • Store things near where you use them, and group like items together.

  • Store your most-used items in accessible spots and place the heavier items down low. (We don’t want anyone pulling a muscle while attempting to get that heavy casserole dish from the highest shelf!)

  • Drawer organizers can be super handy for keeping utensils in easy-to-find categories and stopping them from clanking around.

  • Using risers is a great way to maximise the vertical space in your cupboards.

  • Keep tabs on your food by checking expiration dates regularly and moving the oldest items to the front after new stock comes in.

  • Use open shelving if you dare. It forces you to keep things tidy and minimal.

  • Let go of mismatched Tupperware and food storage without lids. Stack them inside one another and use a container to corral all the lids together.

  • Decanting your food is totally optional but can have an eye-popping effect that makes you want to keep your kitchen on point.

  • Most importantly, let go of any duplicates or appliances that you are no longer using. Creating space! That will have the biggest impact of all!

Creating Space Organizing provides decluttering, home organization, and move management services throughout the Lower Mainland and Greater Vancouver area.
